Sharon Floistad: President


 
Sharon Floistad learned to love her work in the animal care industry from a great teacher -- her husband. Paul Floistad has been with Snyder manufacturing for 25 years and Sharon has been with Paul since they were high school sweethearts.  

Prior to forming Cascade Companies, Sharon was a risk management professional in the public sector where she developed and managed self-insurance and safety programs. After nearly twenty years in commercial insurance and risk management she had the opportunity to own her own business in an industry which makes going to work every day a pleasure!
 
Sharon and Paul have two teenage sons, Paul Ryan who attends the University of Northern Colorado and Brett, who is in high school. The last member of the family is Elsie -- their Weimaraner. Elsie adds so much enjoyment to their lives -- she also does what she is told and appreciates what she has (in sharp contrast to the two teenagers!)
 
Paul and Sharon love to travel and have transitioned from backpacking the Rocky Mountains when they were first married to now having a 28 ft. travel trailer. Sharon also enjoys reading and crafts (card-making and crocheting) in her spare time which is usually on a few long weekends camping.
